Privacy Policy

Ground Wise (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a lawn care business management platform at groundwiseapp.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

• Account information: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash) when you sign up.
• Business information: business name, starting address, working hours, and operational settings you provide during setup.
• Customer data you enter: names, service addresses, phone numbers, service schedules, and job notes for your own customers. Service addresses are converted to map coordinates (geocoded) to power routing. This data belongs to you.
• Photos: job-completion photos you choose to upload. These are stored privately and are visible only to your account.
• Payment information: billing is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers; we store only a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status.
• Invoicing records: invoices and line items you create in the Service.
• Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated by our hosting infrastructure to operate and secure the Service.

• To provide and operate the Ground Wise platform, including route optimization, scheduling, and invoicing.
• To process your subscription payments through Stripe.
• To send transactional, account-related email (signup confirmation, password reset, billing notices). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information or your customers’ information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Ground Wise uses only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a local preference for light/dark theme. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate. Each receives only the data required for its function:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your account data, customer records, and photos are stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe collects and stores your payment method under its own privacy policy.
• Google Maps Platform — geocoding of service addresses, mapping, route optimization, and nearby fuel-station search.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email (e.g., signup confirmations and password resets) to your email address.
• Vercel — application hosting. Like any web host, it processes request logs including IP addresses.

The names, addresses, and other details you enter about your own customers are yours. We process that data solely to provide the Service to you — never for our own purposes. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and use the customer information you enter. Each Ground Wise account’s data is isolated: no other account can access your customers, invoices, or photos.

We retain your data while your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, your account data — including customer records, invoices, and photos — will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the backup provider’s rotation schedule. Records we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons (such as billing history held by Stripe) may be retained as required by law.

You may access and correct your business and customer data at any time inside the app. You may also request a copy of your data, or its deletion, by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (such as the CCPA for California residents); we honor reasonable requests regardless of jurisdiction.

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data access is protected by authenticated sessions and per-account database isolation enforced at the database layer. Payment credentials are handled exclusively by Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Ground Wise is a business tool intended for users 18 and older. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the app before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
